BEHIND THE SCENES: OLD NAVY SUMMER CAMPAIGN 2012

I had the opportunity to visit the filming of the Old Navy Summer campaign for 2012. Shot at Manhattan Beach Studios over a week and featuring Wendi McLendon-Covey from Bridesmaids. It was amazing to meet all the creative people that are involved in creating such a massive production. There were maybe a hundred people running around the two giant studios!

The commercials feature Wendi McLendon-Covey (from Bridesmaids - http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1018488/) in the lead role as Old Navy's Summer Hostess. She was amazing to observe - a true professional - who really brought her character to life. I loved her character in Bridesmaids and she definitely brought a lot of that style to her role here.

Martha Higareda (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1172285/) was the star of the Spanish versions of the campaign - Yes! they shoot two versions.

The stylist was Jeanne Yang (http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/lists/jeanne-yang-299246. She collaborates with Katie Holmes on their label Holmes & Yang - a collection of luxury sportswear.

And the amazing costume designer was the talented Kelle Kutsugaras (http://www.kellekutsugeras.com/Kelle_Kutsugeras/Portfolios.html)- who was wonderful to spend time with. Her attention to detail is superb.

This dress was constructed by a very old tailor, who makes most of the costumes for Hollywood films.
